As a temporary measure in response to Covid-19, photo inspections will be allowed for simple permit types where work can be approved through a single inspection.
WORK ELIGIBLE FOR A PHOTO INSPECTION:
The photo inspection process will only be available for a limited scope of work related to residential projects (single-family, duplex, and townhouse construction, as well as associated accessory structures).
The limited scope of work includes the following:
- Furnace Installations
- Heat Pump Installations—Including Mini Splits
- Air Conditioning Units
- Exhaust Fans
- Heat Exchangers
- Water Heater Installations
- Like-for-like Plumbing Fixtures
- Siding Installations
- Window Replacement
HOW TO COORDINATE
- Schedule an inspection, either online or by phone (253-573-2587). When scheduling, be sure to include your preferred contact information.
- On morning of the inspection (between 7:30am and 8:30am), your assigned building inspector will contact you with information on what photos will be required to confirm code compliance.
- Once captured, photos will need to be sent to your assigned inspector for via text or email for review.
- Any additional inspection coordination and/or document review will be managed with your assigned inspector before the results of the inspection are provided. The inspector will provide the results of the inspection online.
